Book Reviews, Discussions, Listicles, More

During my hiatus, I acquired many amazing books. I went to a couple signings, spent all my money at The Ripped Bodice for Small Business Saturday, and then got some very special ARCs from publishers. Without further ado, here is everything I got:

Recently, I have been so lucky to get my hands on some great ARCs. I actually got Children of Blood and Bone from #booksfortrade on Twitter. I have already started, and still can’t believe I have one of my most anticipated reads of 2018.

I got all the other ARCs pictured in a package from Get Underlined. I am the most excited for My So-Called Bollywood Life & Fresh Ink. Fresh Ink is an anthology that has an UNREAL line up of authors including Malinda Lo, Melissa de la Cruz, Daniel Jose Older, Nicola Yoon and a ton of others. Nisha Sharma, who wrote My So-Called Bollywood Life. has a really excited year in 2018 along with the release of the first book in her Avon Romance series, the Unti Singh Family Trilogy. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eye on her work.

And then Haven was sent to me by Entangled along with a package of swag, which was amazing to get. It was a total surprise. I can’t believe I’m deemed somewhat relevant enough to get sent things in the mail.

I went to a couple events in the past two months. I went to the Launch Party for Rosemarked (you can see pictures here) and Not Your Villain (Not pictured because I forgot. Forgive me.) I got Ramona Blue just cause I gave away my ARC to another reader because I know I won’t be reading it any time soon. I got An Enchantment of Ravens and Magnus Chase while at Mysterious Galaxy.

I got a lot of Romances this month (probably because I’ve been stressed and have gone to The Ripped Bodice multiple times). I’ve read As Rich as a Rogue and Wilde in Love. Both of which were a lot of fun. I will be reviewing Wilde in Love soon because it truly surprised me (like a 5 star surprise).

Fast Connection and Lighting the Flames were both for book club… and I still haven’t read them. Whoops. The other books were just for fun. I’ve heard a lot of great things about A Daring Arrangement. Also, I’ve already started The Betting Vow and A Lady by Midnight.

And that’s a wrap!

Did you get any books in the past two months? What were they?

  1. Yay for supporting indie bookstores on Small Business Saturday!! I did the same with my local indie, haha. I really enjoyed Ramona Blue, so I hope you enjoy it, too! I have an ARC of The Beauty that Remains, and I cannot wait to read it. Ahhh, can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Children of Blood & Bone, Ash Princess, and S.T.A.G.S.!

I’ve been so behind on my YA. I don’t know why I haven’t read Ramona yet 😂.

  2. I’m can’t wait to read Hamilton’s Battalion and An Enchantment of Ravens! I’ve gotten a few books from secret santa exchanges; the most recent I bought was Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills, which I loved! And I got approved for Furyborn on NetGalley, which I’m excited about 🙂
