For a really long time, I have been going back and forth deciding whether to make a book blog or not. I’m a full time college student who is active in student government and in several clubs on campus, so it isn’t like I have tons of free time to run a blog. Also, I have never ran a blog before. Sure, I spent an embarrassing amount of time on Tumblr, but running a Tumblr blog~ isn’t like the real thing.
Ultimately, the pros outweighed the cons. There are so many things I want to talk about, but the formatting of Goodreads, Instagram, and Twitter don’t allow for it. Making a book blog would also me get back into photoshop, and help me to get better at editing. I’m here to grow and have fun.
On Lacy Literacy, expect to see a variety of book related posts. There will be everything from book reviews, fanmixes, hauls, discussions, and my travels to book festivals, indie bookstores, and signings. I will post at least 2 book reviews a week, and other types of posts will vary depending on the week. I have some unique post series that I’m really excited to start like Trope Tuesdays, Short Story Sundays, and my Indie Bookstore Diaries, in which I continue my mission to visit every indie bookstore in California. In 2017, I’m participating in a lot of cool challenges like Diversity Bingo 2017, the Unapologetic Romance Reader’s New Years 2017 Reading Challenge, and the 2017 New Adult Reading Challenge, so expect to see my progress and updates on which books I’m reading for each of those.
